Hello, dear readers! Welcome to another thrifty DIY from your Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan.

Today we’ll be going over how to make your very own snow globes. I know what you’re thinking… “Snow globes? Really? What do I want with that?”

Well, let us tell you! These snow globes are just the thing you’re looking for to accent any room. You can make them fit any theme. For instance, let’s say you have your heart set on a specific theme for your bedroom, man cave, or even nursery. Decorating can be expensive, and we’re here to help you cut those costs.

The ones we made would be the perfect addition to any child’s bedroom.

Here’s what you’re going to need: A glass jar with a sealable lid, super glue, baby oil, glitter, and a figurine of your choosing.

We chose dinosaurs.

Depending on your jar choice, you can either glue the figurine to the bottom of the jar, or to the underside of the lid. For our project we chose to use the bottom of the jar, but if you are using something like a mason jar, the lid would probably be a better choice.

Be sure to allow the glue time to dry before moving on to the next step.

Next, fill the jar with baby oil.

Add a pinch of glitter.

You’ll then want to trace the rim of your jar with the super glue and immediately place it on the jar. This jar has a rubber seal, so after closing it, we twisted the top to ensure an even coating of glue.

Repeat the process a few times and you now have a set of themed, decorative snow globes!
