Workers on Wheels

Workers on Wheels

Workers on Wheels is a program designed to solve the problem of transportation for those seeking employment. This also provides a solution to employers that cannot find enough employees. The biggest barrier to employment is transportation, simply put, those that want to work are unable to. The average commute time to work in Southwest Michigan is roughly 24 minutes and during the winter its even longer. Let's get people working, donate your car today!

Hello, Crafters! We have a new project ready for you today! We’re going to show you how to make a no sew cell phone charging bag.

One of the best things about this craft (aside from requiring no sewing) is that it can be easily made with scrap fabric you have lying around. For instance, we used fabric keft over from our no sew Tote Bag project from a few weeks ago.

All you need is fabric, scissors, a hot glue gun, and to have your cell phone handy.

Spread your fabric out and use your phone to measure the size of the pouch you’ll need. Line your phone up with the top of the material.

Fold the material over your phone and measure about two inches of excess material, then cut along that line.

Do the same at the bottom of your phone.

Next you’ll cut a strip of fabric about two inches wide. You’ll want this to be about one and a half times the length of your pouch. Run a line of hot glue down the center of the fabric and fold in one side. Repeat again folding in the other side.

After that, you’re going to glue down the edges of your pouch. Run lines of hot glue along the edges and fold the material inward

When you’ve done that, pipe glue along one side of the pouch and halfway along the bottom, then fold in half and secure.

All that’s left is to attach your handle.

From there you are ready to go! No more worrying about charging your phone but having no surface to rest it on.
