Workers on Wheels

Workers on Wheels is a program designed to solve the problem of transportation for those seeking employment. This also provides a solution to employers that cannot find enough employees. The biggest barrier to employment is transportation, simply put, those that want to work are unable to. The average commute time to work in Southwest Michigan is roughly 24 minutes and during the winter its even longer. Let's get people working, donate your car today!

Hello Crafters, and Happy Fall!

This week we did a fun mini craft that would be great for the kids, and give your house a boost of Halloween spirit!

We’re making a DIY Crazy Pumpkin vase! All you’ll need is a glass vase, tissue paper, googly eyes, a sharpie, some plastic spiders, and your hot glue gun!

DSC 0001

First step, have the kiddos crumple up your tissue paper and line the vase. As you’re adding the paper, go ahead and tuck a few spiders in there for a little more creep factor!

Next, it’s time to add your googly eyes! With your hot glue gun add an array of googly eyes for your crazy pumpkin (or monster depending on your shade of tissue paper). If your little ones can’t work a hot glue gun, consider letting them make dots with the sharpie where they want the eyes to go, and then you can add them yourself!

All that’s left is to use the sharpie and draw your creatures mouth. Will you go scary, creepy, or silly?
