Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan – If you like Goodwill, you will love their newest option for low-cost shopping: half off the price! Goodwill closed their corporate office store, remodeled it and now it has permanent markdowns – everything in the store is 50% off EVERYDAY.
The Half Off Store is located at 420 E. Alcott Street, between Portage Street and South Burdick. The regular prices are posted, so when you see this price, know that you will pay only half.
“Goodwill is well known for its last Saturday of the month half -off sale,” says John Dillworth, President and CEO of Goodwill of Southwestern Michigan. “We felt this addition of a permanent half off store would be a great asset to our community and help us generate revenue for our employment and training services”.
Here, you’ll pay between $1 and $2.00 for most children’s clothes, $2.50 for most sweaters and tops, men’s and women’s slacks between $3.00 and $3.50, and so forth and so on. This store will also continue to participate in the last Saturday of the month sale for even more savings. This is one more way to keep your donations from going to the landfill, and to buy yourself a little something for a lot less.
The Grand Opening is on Friday, Jan. 23rd at 10 AM with a ribbon cutting ceremony. You may also enter a drawing to win a $50.00 Goodwill gift card.
The Half Off store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5:30 PM. They can be reached at (269) 382-0490 ext. 460. A complete list of all of Goodwill’s Southwestern Michigan stores can be found on their website: www.goodwillswmi.org.
